In 2018, Shepherds Australia teamed up with Phillip Island Markets to take the Winter Sunshine Festival the next step.
Phillip Island is well known as a pinnacle destination for overseas travellers wishing to visit the Penguin Parade, the Australian Moto GP and World Superbikes, and of course as a much loved holiday destination during warmer months. The Island is also a surfing mecca.
The Winter Sunshine Festival was born to highlight Phillip Island as an amazing location to visit, even in the Winter. Nothing some warm clothing and the warm hearts of the Island residents and businesses couldn't fix.
With the ongoing support of the Bass Coast Shire Council and the support of local business, 2018 proved to be bigger and better than ever and grew into everything John (JC) envisioned it could be. Unfortunately John passed away in August of 2018, but not before attending the 2018 Winter Sunshine Festival and witnessing the success of his dream.
